Learn more about me, my interests and background

A native of Camden, South Carolina and a 2009 graduate of The University of South Carolina, I’m a marketing professional, website and graphic designer, video editor, content manager and podcast host. My career path has taken me from announcing sports on small market radio in South Carolina, calling race action nationwide on the Motor Racing Network, managing social media for a NASCAR Championship race team, and marketing for national, state and local brands. I currently work in Small Group and Individual Marketing for BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. I obtained a Master of Science Degree in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University in May 2023.

I live in Columbia, South Carolina with my wife Pauline and our son Brock. Outside of work I still enjoy watching racing on weekends as well as Gamecock athletics, golf, and spending time with my family and friends.

What’s the deal with Why I Gave Up Professional Baseball?

I never played professional baseball. I never played past the fifth grade actually. Why I Gave Up Professional Baseball is the story of my life, initially written during a time of transition in my life where I went from one job within the NASCAR community to another job where I wasn’t on the road nearly as much and had (a little) more free time to do things that I enjoyed and get back to life before I ran off and joined the circus.

Will I update the original blog post as it’s been nearly a decade since I originally wrote it? Who knows. Maybe one day I’ll write a sequel. Until then, you can read the original post to this blog to get to know me a little better.
